My recent stay at the Fairmont San Francisco had its highs and lows. The location is simply stunning, perched atop Nob Hill with amazing views. However, I experienced some service inconsistencies and room cleanliness issues that were disappointing, especially for a hotel of this caliber at $494 a night.

I found my room comfortable and well-appointed, but the room wasn't as clean as expected. a small used bar of soap and low toilet paper were concerning. The views from my suite were very nice, though, making up for some of the shortcomings.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially during check-in. but I felt the communication could have been much better regarding the filming restrictions that caused inconveniences during my stay. I understand they have busy times, but a heads-up would have made a big difference.

The location is perfect for exploring San Francisco. I'm glad I stayed on Nob Hill as it felt safe and offered beautiful views. However, traffic near the hotel was awful during my visit, and it took quite a while to get my car from valet, which needs improvement.
